My expertise

Achieve offer experience in creating and developing Traineeships, and in supporting Apprenticeships up to Level 7 ensuring that English and maths skills are integrated throughout delivery and when there is a Functional Skills need, it is achieved timely.

Over the years we have developed strong partnerships with a range of stakeholders including Awarding Organisations. During the reform of the Functional Skill Qualifications (FSQs) I was invited to work with Awarding Organisations to support in the formulation of the exam and ensuring criteria were met.

I was awarded a Fellowship to Royal Society of Arts in 2012 due to commitment to sourcing, creating and providing accessible training and education programmes for learners with SEND. I continue to work to ensure all learners are enabled to meet and exceed their aspirations and goals.

I am proactive in ensuring providers understand and have an awareness of SEND Code of Practice and their obligations to ensure learners with SEND are supported and given equal opportunities to succeed.

Qualified to Level 7, I hold numerous qualifications including Post Graduate Certificate in Education specialising in Learners with learning difficulties and assistive technology, a BA (Hons), Level 5 Subject Specialisms in maths and English and Level 3 TAQA. I also hold PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation Certificate and Practitioner in Agile Project Management.

Our experience also encompasses the following:

• Working closely with Awarding Organisations on Remote Invigilation solutions to ensure learners are not disadvantaged
• Support with stakeholders on improving SEND provision in both Further and Higher Education
• Involvement in 7 Ofsted inspections leading on SEND, Safeguarding, and English, maths and Functional Skills
• Matrix inspections and Leaders in Safeguarding inspections
• Understanding of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) having developed and implemented policies and procedures to ensure standards are met
• Working closely with Compliance ensuring funding rules are being adhered to and in auditing for potential Provider Financial Assurance audits against the critical factors
• Specialists in ensuring Learner Support Funding (LFS1) is robust and secure having attained 0% error rates
• Qualified IQA and have facilitated numerous EQA visits
• Safeguarding Designated Lead with Governance.

• Created and established a SEND provision in Apprenticeships division for large national training providers utilising LSF1 and ensuring as an educational institution the SEND Code of Practice was adhered to
• Diversity and Inclusion Champion with the aim to drive an inclusive learning environment
• Finalist in 2 of 3 categories ‘Make a Difference’ and ‘Know your stuff’ in the QA Ltd 2020 Awards. Winner in the ‘Make a Difference’ category for my ‘tireless work in improving SEND provision’
• Mental Health First Aider promoting mental health awareness.
